A Generational Approach to Stewardship - A process for raising annual funds
Have you ever attended a vestry or other committee meeting where one person laments, ” We would have enough money to do this, if people were just more committed!” Another person counters, “We need to show them what they are getting for their money.” And yet a third says, “can you just e-mail me the budget, because I have to get to my basketball league game?”
Often, the result of this intergenerational exchange is stalemate. If we are to bring people to a better place of understanding in the stewardship arena, we will have to consider the critical differences in how money (and most everything else) is viewed...

Electronic Funds Transfers
The benefits of providing your parishioners with the ability to donate via an electronic funds transfer are abundant! Especially if you have (or are trying to attract) a significant number of Gen X’ers (Born 1965 to 1981), EFT’s can increase your giving, eliminate the dip in giving that occurs in most parishes over the summer, and invite participation by members who do not regularly attend worship.
